Plans are nearing completion as the Lowrie Center prepares to open enrollment for the 2018 International Institute for Christian School Educators, July 8 -12,  on the campus of Columbia International University.  Here is a preview of the IICSE track designed for teachers and administrators that are beginning their first or second year as a Christian School Educator.  Collaborate with educators from around the world through instruction and discussions centered on:

  • The Foundations of Christian School Philosophy and Spiritual Formation (3 sessions): Facilitated by Dr. Debbie Moore, graduate professor of educational philosophy at CIU.
  • Affective Standards for Christian Schools, Inquiry Learning and Critical Thinking (3 sessions): Facilitated by Dr. Lynn Hoekstra, graduate foundations professors at CIU
  • Biblical Principles of Discipline and Organizational Behavior (2 sessions): Facilitated by Dr. James Watson, doctoral professor at CIU
  • Biblical Integration:: Dr. Milton  Uecker, Director of the Lowrie Center at CIU
  • Classroom Management , The Learning Community and Assessment Strategies (3 sessions): Mark McCann, director of the Master of Arts in Teaching program at CIU
  • Instructional Design, Curriculum Management and The Living Curriculum (3 sessions): Former Curriculum Director at Ben Lippen School and Graduate Professor Emeritus at CIU
  • Instructional Supervision: Mary Martin, Education Program Director at Moody
  • Steward Leaderhip: Brian Simmons, doctoral program director, online Provost and former president of ACSI.
