Good to know you are thinking about these issues. The "4 C's" have some similarities to a 3-pronged model I've been tinkering with: self-directed learning (which includes communication & media usage), critical and creative thinking, and character/wisdom. The research on "character" elements (e.g., self-regulation) is powerful and should receive more intentional emphasis in our schools. Good work. Glad you're initiating this critical conversation!
